Cycling from Tangier to Sidi Ifni in Morocco. The 5th edition of the piste route and 4th edition of the road route will again start in Tangier October 6th 2024. The route brings riders trough the Rif and Atlas mountains to the Sahara desert.

The routes of the Morocco Bike-Adventure brings you to rural places tourists rarely see. It doesn’t follows petrol station shops and sometimes you spend the night under millions of stars. The Rif mountain, the Atlas mountains and the Sahara desert are part of the routes.

Important

The piste route is for experienced bikepackers only. Navigation skills and the ability to keep calm in extreme situations like a sand storm in the desert or a storm in the mountains are mandatory. On piste sections 150km and longer it’s mandatory to start with 8l of water.

Where we meet, the start

Tangier, Morocco: a port city on the Strait of Gibraltar in Africa, only a few kilometers south of Tarifa, Spain and yet, a world away. The same place that was used in the scenery of the James Bond film, The Living Daylight.

On route to Sidi Ifni, adventurers will travel through many beautiful areas of Morocco, among others that have been used in films or have been part of the legendary Paris-Dakar rally.
